Le Royaume De Camil
Le Royaume de Camil is a project we've done in a Game Jam. The goal of the game was to create and manage its village and avoid the rebellion of a clan, which automatically ends the game, by keeping them happy.
The player can buy and build one of the 4 clan's building bringing him resources, bonuses and problems. After a certain time, the person living in the building wants to talk with the king, so the player has to move to that location and talk with the person. Sometime, they will ask for some stuff, costing money, and the player will be able to accept, refuse, try to bribe the person with a certain amount he chooses, or start a discussion with him, and has to answer correctly to the conversation based on the personality of the NPC to keep him happy.
During this project, I've participated in the global design with my 4 colleagues, the design of some of the systems, the rules and the possible interactions, and acted as the main programmer as we had no programmer, and I was the one with the most knowledge in the area.
